We’re all super used to how love is normally portrayed in the movies and media, that of which can be quite grandiose and can be at times even quite unrealistic. And more often than not people actually start believing that this is the what “perfect love” should actually look like. And unrealistic fairytale. Not to say that these moments don’t actually happen, but when people come to judge their own relationships and moments within them based on what they see in the movies is where it becomes a problem.
A korean artist “Puuung” is super intent on changing that narrative, and we say GOOD! =)
“Love is something that everybody can relate to. And Love comes in ways that we can easily overlook in our daily lives. So, I try to find the meaning of love in our daily lives and make it into artwork,” she writes.
I can’t help but think of this quote when I look at these images: “There are a million different ways to say ‘i love you’. “Put your seatbelt on’. ‘Get some rest’. ‘watch your step’. You just have to listen.”
With her beautifully-drawn illustrations, Puuung reminds us that when it comes to love, it’s the little things that actually matter..
Puuung’s many works can be found on her grafolio, but here are some of our favorites:
