As questions continue to surface about Facebook’s alleged role in aiding illegal government surveillance programs that track and monitor citizens, people are growing restless for a viable social media alternative that respects both personal privacy and the rule of law. And we just might get that from “Miramir,” the “Social Network for Change” project testing the waters through a new Kickstarter campaign.
Max Sidorov, the mind behind the project, wants to develop a social networking experience that allows users to interact, create, develop and share information without the threat of privacy invasion and government intrusion (below is a short interview with Max). The Miramir project aims to integrate the current leading social media platforms into a unified, secure and completely private system that is sure to become an authoritarian government’s worst nightmare.
Unlike Facebook, Miramir users’ information is never sold, shared, or otherwise given away to third parties, including corrupt government agencies like the NSA. Miramir users also have the option to completely delete their profiles at any time – not just “deactivate” like with Facebook, which continues to store users’ information indefinitely.
Miramir also seeks to spread news articles and other information via its network that are otherwise blocked or censored by the big guys like Google and Facebook. Uncensored news is what free-thinking individuals want, but you won’t find much of it on Facebook, which holds a tight leash on information that might threaten the establishment or control grid apparatus.
“This is an invitation to all amazers and creators, mavericks and dreamers, the kindness doers and changemakers, all the good people of our magnificent earth to take part in a global movement for change and freedom,” explains the Miramir Kickstarter page.
Use Bitcoin? Miramir supports full cryptocurrency integration
Fiat currency cronyism is driving many people to divert to so-called “cryptocurrencies” like Bitcoin, which are more difficult government authorities to track and are completely independent of usurious central banks and their fractional-reserve lending scams, as well as other similar Ponzi schemes. And Miramir is fully onboard with this emerging transition, with full cryptocurrency integration as one of its bragging rights.
Miramir users can also send messages to one another that “self-destruct,” meaning they can be erased – permanently. Social media users shouldn’t have to worry that their private conversations are being stored at the massive NSA spying facility in Utah, or on other government servers strategically placed throughout the world.
Content on Miramir is easily managed, much like the current Facebook format, except that users can post and share articles and information anonymously if they choose. Users are also encouraged to form subgroups based on subjects and topics of mutual interest to better organize the flow of information throughout the site.
This revolutionary social media platform “of the people, by the people and for the people” is currently in its beta launch. But it’s developers need your help to bring it to an official launch. We encourage you to check out the Kickstarter page and see for yourself how Miramir stands to make Facebook obsolete while giving the power of thought and information back to the people rather than evil corporations.
“What started with an idea for freedom, for privacy, for peace, is now a global movement,” say Miramir’s developers. “After two years of development and testing, our beta is ready. Now we need your help to launch Miramir and make it even more amazing for you.”
“If you want to live in a world filled with good, with love, and with kindness. A world of peace, compassion, and unity. Then join us in launching the most powerful alternative social network and portal in the world. It’s a huge project that is going to change the course of free flowing information, and we want you to be a part of it.”
