What does living a ‘holistic lifestyle’ mean to you?Dec 6, 2016 at 2:53 pm #13899
To me, I would consider looking back hundreds of years to the way people use to live. A lot of great things/ideas seemed to be produced during these times without the technology we have today. Their were no man medicines, food, etc that were created to simply make a quick buckDec 13, 2016 at 8:44 pm #14063
I agree with Methodz, the Indians and in Roman times used plants, flowers, bark, etc. I have suffered with chronic pain for 19 yrs now, was taking pain pills, patches and such, but I would rather do it naturally than putting man made medicine in me, you never know whats in all that stuffJan 27, 2017 at 11:31 pm #15300
Holistic to me means whole. We address our whole body. Physically, emotionally and mentally. We need to nourish our bodies with good healthy uncontaminated food. We also need to address our emotional well being. How we feel relates to what we think and what we think leads to what we believe and what we believe is ultimately what we create. All our diseases are not created solely by food. One of the largest hurdles for me was to learn, understand and ultimately accept that I created my own disease and the food I ate…..or didn’t eat was only enabling the disease to manifest. The first step for me was to accept responsibility for my ill health. I was only too happy to blame it on something/someone else.
That’s what Holistic means to me.
