New Cannabis Capsules and Tampons Could Replace Any Painkiller

The wonders of cannabis never cease. A new, natural pain killer is only just beginning to become available that could make menstrual pain a thing of the past.

Though only available in California currently, but expanding into other states, the Foria Relief Company invented a vaginal suppository which contains cocoa butter and cannabis to help block pain. Otherwise known as the ‘weed tampon,’ it awakens the pleasure sensors of the brain and blocks pain due to the active compounds in tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD), without causing a psychotropic ‘trip.’

“Cannabis has a long, cross cultural history of use as a natural aide in easing symptoms associated with menstruation. Our intention is to share the powerful medicinal properties of this plant while utilizing modern extraction techniques to standardize purity and potency, thereby ensuring a safe and accessible experience for all women,” Foria’s site notes.

While dangerous drugs like Vicodin, Midol and Ibuprofen have already been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration, this harmless, if not exceedingly helpful natural drug has not yet met requirements for the FDA to give it a green light. Vicodin contains high levels of acetaminophen which can damage the liver, and the FDA has lately strengthened its warnings about pain killing drugs like ibuprofen, since long-term use can cause a host of health concerns.

These weed tampons also contain no glyphosate, while 85 percent of cotton hygiene products recently tested by the University of La Plata in Argentina, were found to contain the carcinogenic substance. Because cannabis requires no pesticides to grow, these tampons are also likely absent of other pesticides, herbicides, and industrial chemicals like chlorine often present in women’s sanitary products. They contain exactly three ingredients: organic, fair trade cocoa Butter, distilled THC Oil, and CBD Isolate (99.99%) from organically grown hemp.

Moreover, regular tampons are often made from GMO cotton, and do not offer pain relief from monthly cramping and bloating which accompanies’ many women’s menstrual cycle.

CBD has been rigorously scientifically tested and proves to be an excellent way to relax muscles, and calm spasms since it has a favorable effect on the inflammatory response in the body. Because of this therapeutic aspect of cannabidiol, it has been used to treat hundreds of diseases.

Thus far weed tampons have received rave reviews, with one woman exclaiming that she felt her clenched and cramped muscles around her midriff release, and the area below her thighs was “floating as if in some other galaxy.”

Considerably more expensive than regular tampons, the company sells four weed tampons for $44 US dollars, but considering their claimed potency and purity, many believe that’s a fair price.
