Trump Fan Overjoyed After Meeting Keanu Reeves, but It Was Just a Lookalike
Photos of the post have gone viral along with hilarious reactions from social media.
(TMU) — A supporter of U.S. President Donald Trump has become the latest viral sensation after he posted photos of himself with a less-than-convincing doppelgänger of Keanu Reeves.
The man, who is named Bill, excitedly shared photos of himself with the not-quite lookalike in a Facebook group for Trump fans, explaining that he ran into the Matrix star at the Maryland Bike Show and that he actually “restores bikes and is a Trump supporter!”
Photos of the post, which has since been deleted, have gone viral along with hilarious reactions from social media including claims that the man was a “Wish App Keanu” or that “Someone tried to draw Keanu from memory” but ended up with “John Wack.”

Others claimed that they “loved him in Will and Jed’s Exceptional Adventures” while intentionally misquoting the star’s famous lines, including, “Be OK to each other.” Another replied, “Loved him in The Matricks … Small Budda. Joe Wick (wait that’s a thing..). Fast.”
The faux-pas has received widespread press attention with online publications as far as Brazil finding humor in the mix-up.
One man who was decidedly not amused was the man mistaken for Keanu Reeves, who is actually just some guy named Nick German.
In a post to Facebook, German complained:
“Ok- this is insane. Some jerk took my photo last weekend at the Timonium Bike Show and now posting on Instagram that he met Keanu Reeves.
Jesus. Really people???
Yes that is ME on the right, what is wrong with people?
And it received 250,000 IG hits. SMH.”

German, who is clearly not a Trump supporter judging by the content he has posted to his Facebook page, added:
“This guy kept pestering me to take a photo, then another & another. I was like ‘Come on. I’m here to look at motorcycles.’ He knew the whole time that I wasn’t KR. It was all a typical, failed Trump supporter stunt. Lesson learned – no more selfies with strangers!”
While Keanu hasn’t yet commented on the confusion, we assume that he’s still hard at work in the San Francisco Bay Area on the set of The Matrix 4, where he was recently spotted filming the third sequel to the hit series alongside co-star Carrie-Anne Moss.
