When asked about whether he approved of the Cyberpunk 2077 mod, Reeves said: “Yes! Oh my God, it’s always nice when it’s nice.”

When Keanu Reeves was asked about people hacking the 2020 videogame Cyberpunk 2077 to have videogame-sex with Keanu’s character, Reeves appeared more than a little turned on by the possibilities.

During a sit-down with The Verge to discuss the widely anticipated blockbuster reboot of the Matrix franchise with co-star Carrie-Ann Moss, the “Bill & Ted” star learned, for the very first time, that gamers had been modding the disappointing CD ProjektRed title to spice it up a bit – specifically, by allowing players to have virtual sex with Reeves’ character, Johnny Silverhand.

You can watch a demonstration of the infamous mod here.

While the game’s creators were none too happy about the mod, even going so far as intervening to have it pulled from the web on the basis that it was “harmful towards” Keanu.

However, upon learning that gamers were eagerly modding the game to place him in the intimate scenario, Reeves appeared not only curious about the possibilities of VR porn – but positively mind-blown.

“Yes! Oh my god: It’s always nice when it’s nice,” Reeves enthusiastically said.

“Think of how much money is in porn,” Reeves began.

“So you could not even have to be there and people could have digital sex with your digital avatar…what’s it called right now, ‘For Members Only’? You could do a whole thing,” Reeves explained, brimming over with enthusiasm.

“Oh my god, then you get the suit that’s probably made in Sweden or some German thing, oh my god then you’ve got the VR thing,” he continued. “Then they’ve got the data on you with your like, arousal metrics.”

Wrapping up his thoughts on the subject, he finished: “You hold that real thing and you’re like, oh man I’m so glad we have reality.”

Moss, on the other hand, had no such interest in the subject, simply laughing it off and responding:

“I, on the other hand, say no thank you.”

Reeves has clearly been bouncing the idea of “arousal metrics” around – in his head, at the very least. But as he himself admits, there’s still no match for the real thing.
