5 Personal Philosophies That Need To Go Viral

1. Wake up early

Sleeping in is fucking lazy. Until you’ve earned the opportunity to sleep in every once in awhile, get used to waking up early. You have to look at it like this. You’re not here forever. You’re here for a very, very short period of time. And most people don’t even figure out what they want to really do with their life until they’re a third or half way through it. That means if you want to live a happier life, on your terms…you’re going to have to be in extra time, energy and effort into making that happen yourself. Nobody else will do it for you. You were gifted with an incredible machine that does everything for you. It has trillions of cells working day and night in snyc to keep you alive. It breathes for you, digests your foods, heals your body and wounds effortlessly, it restores and replenishes itself without you having to do a single thing. This gift was given to you by the universe…and it’s your duty to respect it and to use it to the best of your ability. You were also given a clean conscious and IMAGINATION that allows you to CREATE things out of thin air. It’s your job to sharpen it and use it. Our body only needs 6-8 hours of sleep a night and most people will be fine on the lower end. By sleeping in, you’re essentially telling the universe, god or whatever source you believe in that sleeping an extra 30 minutes or 2 hours to satisfy your laziness is more important than getting up and doing something positive with your day.. And you continue to wonder why your life isn’t working out or that you’re so unlucky. Just remember that the universe always reflects back what YOU put in. Seems like a stretch? Good, then this is exactly what you need. Keep reading.

Perhaps your argument is that there isn’t anything special about your day? Perhaps you’re in a relationship you aren’t happy with and a job that you hate. What motivation do you have to get up? Well my friend…that is all the motivation you need. Get the fuck up..and do something about it. Get up early, create a plan and grab your day by the balls.

 2. Compare every decision to your mortality.

Get used to becoming hyper-aware of your eventual death. When you compare each decision to your eventual death, the light of the universe and truth becomes much more clear. The fact of the matter is that when you look around, everybody is walking around, talking, thinking and acting as if they’re going to live forever. To me, this is one of the truest statements of my life. Feel free to argue with me about it. It’s so fucking clear. It’s so easy to see. In the conversations people have…in the ideas people focus on…in the actions people habitually engage in…in the fears that hold people back…in the endless loops that keep people predictable and in the same state. People don’t think about death, or at least their own death nearly enough. Because it’s attached to religion and for most people it’s a scary thing to think about…it gets completely ignored. Shut away into some tiny box in the back of their heads. But trust me on this…when you start thinking about your own death more and more…when it becomes part of your daily life and your personal philosophy…a paradigm shift happens. All of a sudden, you’re able to see everything much more clearly. I can’t really explain it because it’s an experience you must have on your own to truly understand. Your ability to weigh in on things, your thoughts, your ideas…about yourself…the people around you…the world…they all change.

Just like these people you see lying on their deathbed wishing X Y Z for themselves and the world. That becomes real…now. Without having to be 90 years old bed-ridden and on the verge. This personal philosophy of mine goes deep and it’s going to be what I use to change thousands and perhaps millions of people’s lives. Help this article go viral by sharing it.

 3. Be of service

Find a way to help people around you. That means going out of your way to do things. It can be as simple as letting others out of the elevator before you, holding doors, greeting people, complimenting someone, giving your change to a beggar on the street, feeding the homeless, or using your natural talents and gifts to improve the lives of those around you. You don’t have to change the world overnight, what is important is that you build the habit of shifting your perception from being self-focused to humanity-focused. You have to get out of your own head and humble yourself. The more you’re able to get out of your default setting (which is always telling you that you’re the center of the universe and that it’s all about YOUR happiness) the happier and more fulfilled you’ll be. On a higher level, our purpose here on earth is not to just satisfy our own needs and desires, it’s to leave this place better than when we found it. If you look at the world around you and all of the great things within it that you enjoy on a regular basis you’ll see that they all started in someone’s mind. With a desire to create something bigger than themselves. The desire to improve the quality of life of his/her fellow human beings.

 4. See the best in others and in yourself

See boys and girls…it’s easy to focus on the negative. That’s the EASY part. Just like going to the gym and working out and getting in great shape. The EASY part is the working out. What’s difficult is eating perfectly and  consistently for months or even years at a time in order to achieve the physique of your dreams. It’s easy to take situations and pick out how things didn’t go your way…to speak negatively about people, about how they’re stupid, making the wrong decisions, or thinking that you’re better than them, smarter than them or more important. What makes you an intelligent, attractive and self-aware adult…what’s not easy…and what I challenge you to do, is to slow down and consciously try to see the best in each and every person, situation and YOURSELF. I say yourself, because it seems as if we’re our own worst enemy. We beat ourselves up more than anyone else would even be able to. Learn to think like a kid again (by kid I mean thinking from a clean slate, before the world and society dirtied your water)

The 2 personal philosophies of mine that allow me to do this consistently are:

  1. I believe each and every person is inherently good and that they want the best for themselves and those around them. If they happen to be acting out or behaving otherwise, I know it’s because at some point in their life they were hurt, mistreated or abused and they were never able to move past and forgive the person or themselves for that happening.
  2. In each situation there is something to learn. As humans, we all have an instinctive drive to grow, to get better, to become a better version of ourselves in some way. For some, that drive is stronger than others. That drive is vital to your ability to become self-aware and succeed. Without the desire to want to improve, you aren’t going to recognize the patterns in your life that are there to teach you something. Learning how to identify what each situation is trying to teach you and then applying it to your life is the key to consistently improving and getting to the next level in your life. Those who tend to live better lives learn from their mistakes and don’t keep repeating them same ones over and over.

 5. Consistently do things you’re afraid of

When your moments before your death…when you’re about to be fucking wiped clean from this earth…there will be a moment where you’ll regret the things you didn’t do. What are they for you? Take a moment to think about it right now. What is that thing you’ve been putting off? Write it down and look at it. Here is what I promise you. Once you actually do it, you’ll find it’s nowhere near as scary as you thought. And you’ll be fucking blown away at how your mind could have made something so simple, so terrifying. I believe that we all have a path and that those things that we fear are put there for us to conquer and to grow. Just because you don’t see a lot of people around you doing things that are “out of character” or consistently doing things they’re afraid doesn’t mean you shouldn’t. It just means that the world has turned into a heard of animals that are afraid of stepping outside of the pack and being the fucking leader. Are you in the herd? Or are you going to set up? Gary V said something in a video I saw a few weeks ago that’s stuck with me and has changed the course of my life since the moment I saw it. He said “if anything outside of you is stopping you, you’re already losing.”

So I’ll leave you with this. What is stopping you from becoming happier, more peaceful, more fulfilled, in better shape, or anything else? It’s going to take some work, it’s going to take some sacrifice. It’s going to take some planning. But it’s right on the other side of the coin waiting for you. When you realign some of your personal philosophies, not only does life get easier, but somehow the universe starts working in your favor. It’s the strangest thing.
