According to reports published on Thursday, the actor Ray Liotta, who was best known for his appearances in the films “Field of Dreams” and “Goodfellas,” and many others, has passed away at the age of 67.

When the actor passed away unexpectedly in his sleep, he was working in the Dominican Republic on the set of the movie “Dangerous Waters.” According to initial reports from Deadline and TMZ, no criminal activity is suspected.

The role of American gangster Henry Hill, which the actor played in the hit film “Goodfellas,” directed by Martin Scorsese and released in 1990, earned the actor a Golden Globe nomination. In the film, he also acted with actors Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci. In the sports movie “Field of Dreams,” which he co-starred in with Kevin Costner in 1989, the actor played the role of Shoeless Joe Jackson.
