Toddler Kills Snake Using Only Her Teeth After It Bit Her Lip

People often suggest that when a child turns two, they become much harder to handle. This is why so many people describe the stage as the “terrible twos.”

Well, it’s safe to say that the parents of this 2-year-old Turkish girl must be going through a lot.

After being bitten by the snake on her lip as she was playing in the garden of her family’s home in Turkey, the toddler was able to kill the reptile using only her teeth.

The incident took place in her family’s backyard.

It was last Wednesday (August 10) when the snake bit the child on the lip while she was playing with it in the garden. In response, the toddler—identified only as S.E.—used her teeth to bite the reptile back until it was dead.

Neighbors heard the girl screaming outside and were shocked when they found her with a 20-inch snake between her teeth.

Shock and horror are appropriate reactions if a toddler bites and kills an animal, regardless of whether it attacked them first. You never know what they’ll do next.

The girl’s father, Mehmet Ercan, was at work when his daughter killed the snake.

“Allah has protected her, really. Our neighbors have told me that the snake was in the hand of my child, she was playing with it and then it bit her,” he said.

“Then she has bitten the snake back as a reaction.”

The neighbors gave the girl first aid for the snake bite on her lip before taking her to the Bingol Maternity and Children’s Hospital for more care. The snake was already far too gone to be saved.

Let’s just keep our fingers crossed that—for the sake of snakes everywhere—in the future they will refrain from entering this little girl’s garden, keeping their distance from her deadly teeth.

Although, maybe snakes will soon receive an upgrade in the form of robotic legs to walk with, allowing the reptile to better handle toddlers.
