This is What a Real Apology Looks Like: US Veterans Appeal to Native Americans

Published

on

The group of 2000 US military veterans that arrived at Standing Rock to form a human shield against the ongoing attacks against the Sioux Water Protectors have already vowed to take their peaceful soldiering on to Flint Michigan, where water has also been poisoned and polluted and hundreds of thousands of people have been hurt. If you haven’t seen what these men stand for, watching this video sums it up better than any ‘fake news’ propaganda.

“We fought you. We took your land. We signed treaties that we broke. We stole minerals from your sacred hills. We blasted the faces of our presidents onto your sacred mountain… We didn’t respect you, we polluted your Earth, we’ve hurt you in so many ways but we’ve come to say that we are sorry. We are at your service and we beg for your forgiveness.” ~ Wes Clark, Jr.

No matter what the corporations do to further their pipeline through sacred grounds, or what the government does to ignore the will of the people, peace is happening. Consciousness is rising. No pipeline can change our minds and hearts. This is what a peaceful revolution looks like – and a real apology.
