Elon Musk Calls Large Hadron Collider at CERN a “Demonic Technology”

“I am normal and can be trusted with a demonic technology unlike anything the world has ever seen.”

Demonic Technology

It would appear that Elon Musk’s scientific ambitions may have taken a swing toward quantum physics and demons.

The world’s richest man tweeted a meme on Sunday (August 21) that claims the Large Hadron Collider at CERN is an example of “demonic technology” he wants to use.

“Please let me use the CERN large hadron collider,” Musk’s meme said.

At the bottom of the image, Musk added:

“I am normal and can be trusted with a demonic technology unlike anything the world has ever seen.”

This would all be harmless fun if there weren’t actually people out there who sincerely believe CERN’s technology is going to cause the end of the world.

Three researchers—Peter Higgs of Scotland, François Englert of Belgium, and Robert Brout—speculated about the existence of the Higgs boson in 1964. CERN announced the finding of the particle in July 2012.

This particle explains why things have mass, to put its role briefly. The Higgs boson is regarded as physics’ missing link.

Critics of CERN’s Large Hadron Collider worry that the organization’s research may produce a black hole and obliterate the planet. Francesco Calogero, an Italian physicist, came up this theory. And that’s where the worry about a “demonic technology” likely comes from.

Musk’s meme.

Musk does not elaborate on his plans for the Large Hadron Collider at CERN or explain why he wants access to such technology, which is at the core of quantum physics.

It’s not apparent if Elon was being serious or just kidding.
