Millions Of Dots Construct Intricate Pen Drawings With One Goal: To Raise Environmental Awareness
An incredible California artist named Kyle Leonard uses stipple art to make stunningly detailed works of art. Each picture contains millions of dots that inspire us to pay more attention to how we treat the environment.
The environmental issues of the natural world are a major concern in our world today and Kyle Leonard has poured countless hours into his art to help get the message across.
“I am mainly inspired by the natural world and… the way we treat the environment”
What is incredible about his art is that he uses it as a form of meditation as well as a way to exercise creativity.
“I draw every day as a creative outlet and for the meditative quality of it.”
The artist is also “inspired by many different artists like Escher, Haeckel, and street artists like Alexis Diaz and phlegm. I spend about 6 to 100 hours on each piece depending on size and complexity. My main method of drawing is stippling, but I also use cross-hatching.”
