Photographer Treks 14 Hours To Capture ‘Extreme’ Wedding Photos In Norway
You only get married once — hopefully, which is why an adventurous couple decided to say their “I do’s” atop the Trolltunga Rock in Norway. Fortunately for them, photographer Priscila Valentina wasn’t averse to trekking 14 hours (roundtrip) to snap photos of the memorable day.
Valentina agreed to accompany the couple as they hiked to the rock formation — also known as “Troll Tongue” — for their elopement. By no means was the trek easy, however.
The group left at 5:30 AM and everyone was carrying some extra weight. Members donned full hiking gear — including layers of coats, pants, extra socks and gloves, in addition to carrying their wedding ensembles and bouquet. Valentina lugged 35 pounds of camera gear to the formation. Fortunately, all of the effort was worth it. Valentina was able to glimpse the “most epic view on Earth” as the couple changed into their formal outfits in separate tents.
MyModernMet reports the bride emerged in a lacy white wedding dress, while the groom wore a tailored blue suit. The looks on their faces as they walk toward each other is priceless.
Though their attire was out of place in the natural environment, it paired well with the overcast day and jaw-dropping scenery. Photos of the bride and groom are stunning, to say the least, and they do an excellent job portraying the duo’s fondness for excitement and adventure — as well last their devotion to each other.
