(TMU) — Former U.S. President Bill Clinton has claimed through a spokesperson, that he “knows nothing” about the “terrible crimes” allegedly committed by 66-year-old pedophile Jeffrey Epstein after the billionaire pleaded not guilty to sex trafficking charges in a Manhattan federal court.

A statement tweeted by Clinton’s press secretary Angel Ureña read:

“President Clinton knows nothing about the terrible crimes Jeffrey Epstein pleaded guilty to in Florida some years ago, or those with which he has been recently charged in New York.

In 2002 and 2003, President Clinton took a total of four trips on Jeffrey Epstein’s airplane: one to Europe, one to Asia, and two to Africa, which included stops in connection with the work of the Clinton Foundation.”

According to the statement, Clinton Foundation staff, supporters, and the former president’s Secret Service detail accompanied the two on every leg of the trip. Clinton also met with the sex offender at the former president’s Harlem office and once at Epstein’s New York apartment, where the Secret Service and a staff member were also present.

Epstein has long been an associate of Clinton and has repeatedly allowed the former president to borrow his jet for overseas trips. According to flight logs obtained by Fox News, the former head of state took about 26 trips aboard Epstein’s personal Boeing 727, infamously nicknamed the Lolita Express,” from 2001 to 2003.

The trips “included extended junkets around the world with Epstein and fellow passengers identified on manifests by their initials or first names, including ‘Tatiana,’” raising speculation that Clinton partook of Epstein’s sex crimes while aboard the plane.

Bill Clinton had previously praised Epstein in 2002, telling New York magazine through a spokesman:

“Jeffrey is both a highly successful financier and a committed philanthropist with a keen sense of global markets and an in-depth knowledge of twenty-first-century science.

I especially appreciated his insights and generosity during the recent trip to Africa to work on democratization, empowering the poor, citizen service, and combating HIV/AIDS.”

However, the dizzying array of fresh sexual misconduct allegations has forced Epstein’s former associates in the elite world of high finance and politics to distance themselves from the ultra-rich socialite.

Prosecutors have unsealed a scathing indictment charging Epstein with having “sexually exploited and abused dozens of minor girls at his homes” in Manhattan and Palm Beach, Florida, and other locations.

Epstein also faces charges for allegedly targeting dozens of victims and paying those victims to recruit other underage girls in a sex trafficking conspiracy that routinely involved girls no older than 14. Hundreds if not thousands of photographs have also been seized from Epstein’s New York City mansion that depict nude underage girls in “sexually suggestive” poses.

Epstein could face up to 45 years in prison if he is found guilty of the allegations.

Clinton’s statement concluded:

“He’s not spoken to Epstein in well over a decade, and has never been to Little St. James Island, Epstein’s ranch in New Mexico, or his residence in Florida.”

It has long been well-known that Epstein has associated with both Clinton and President Donald Trump.

In addition to being a fellow resident of Palm Beach—where Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort is located—Epstein and President Trump socialized together prior to the latter’s ascension to power.

In the same 2002 New York magazine article about Epstein that Clinton was featured in, Trump is quoted saying that he had known the financier for 15 years and that he was a “terrific guy.”

Trump explained:

“He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it – Jeffrey enjoys his social life.”

The White House is now claiming that the president has not spoken to Epstein in “years and years and years.”

Meanwhile, a Twitter user claims to have noticed that Epstein’s Wikipedia page was edited to remove mention of Democrats who have flown on the Lolita Express.
