Loud Fart Gives Suspect’s Hiding Spot Away to Police
Police were able “sniff out” his hiding location.
(TMU) — In what was an unlucky turn of events for one Missouri man wanted for possession of a controlled substance, law enforcement officers were able “sniff out” his hiding location after he farted loud enough for nearby officers to hear.
In a Facebook post, the Clay County Sheriff’s Department made light of the unusual situation.
“If you’ve got a felony warrant for your arrest, the cops are looking for you and you pass gas so loud it gives up your hiding spot, you’re definitely having a ?day. ? #ItHappened,” the post reads.

The sheriff’s office told Fox 2, “the person was arrested over the weekend on a Clay County warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance. We’ve gotta give props to Liberty (Missouri) PD for using their senses to sniff him out!”
Liberty City Police Department tweeted about the unusual circumstances.

The suspect’s name has not yet been release and no one was injured during the arrest.
